Elected to the GLOHRA Steering Committee (2026-2028)!

I am honored to have been elected to the Steering Committee of the German Alliance for Global Health Research (GLOHRA), the BMFTR-funded network connecting researchers across German institutions to advance interdisciplinary global health research. GLOHRA's mission, fostering collaboration that defies traditional disciplinary, sectoral, and geographic boundaries, resonates deeply with the work I have been building at the intersection of computer science, mental health, and cross-cultural research. I look forward to contributing to the alliance's strategic direction, championing the role of intelligent and immersive technologies in equitable global health, and helping shape opportunities for the next generation of researchers working across these boundaries.

Joined the SocialVR Lab @ Hs Coburg!

I have started a new position as senior scientist at the SocialVRLab in Hochschule Coburg :) Will be giving bodies to large language models and investigating different types of interpersonal physiological synchronization markers. Exciting!

My paper on the design and evaluation of the Loving Kindness Meditation Experience in VR has been accepted in the Journal of Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics.

Mind Life Institute Summer School 2022 (June 6th - 10th)

I have been accepted to the Mind Life Institute's Summer Research Institute 2022: "Othering, Belonging, and Becoming". The Mind & Life Institute brings science and contemplative wisdom together to better understand the mind and create positive change in the world.

The research institute is a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and immersive opportunity for conversations around humanity’s response to the crisis of disconnection and othering — for researchers, contemplatives, changemakers, and anyone interested in this topic. I will be presenting a poster and talking on my work on meditation in Virtual Reality :) and how we designed a mobile VR experience to support the Loving Kindness Meditation

Eating Disorders and Virtual Reality (May 12th & 13th)

I will be joining the Workshop 'Virtual Reality - Possibilities in Eating Disorder Research'. I will be presenting a demo of my work on the use of Mobile VR for behavioral experiments in-the-wild, and talking about Participatory Design for clinical research.
